brook introduced me to the cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender and i love it. i've also been trying to create drawings with the iPhone app Brushes. it is hard.
sketch part 1. quick rough outline. done without reference.
sketch part 2. last point without reference.
sketch part 3. finally looked at a picture. fixed the eyes, added shading. i've tried unsuccessfully several times to add a body to this headless being. drawing is hard.

p.s. these all look slightly better on my iPhone. not sure what the deal is with exporting.
did the ol' screenshot.
still sucks.
p.p.s. and if you still can't get enough, video here.
Pano shot of the whole damn thing (bubbeh's by the sprinkler, pond not pictured).
Driveway plant with UFO-like bug.
Lolly's chill-zone #1 with view of pond/drinking fountain.
Bubbeh perched above Lolly's chill-zone #2, also known as nap-zone.
Koi pushing around our new Water Hyacinth, showing it who's boss. pro-tip for plants new to the pond: the koi is the boss.

p.s. god bless my iPhone, god bless it everyone.
p.p.s. despite brook's disapproval, i just ate the Baconator® (not recommended*).
p.p.p.s. who watches the watchers? i do. i saw the Watchmen last night. i liked it, fuck you. opening titles w/ bob dylan were primo. sex scene w/ leonard cohen was lusty. Rorschach was badass. i wish i had that actor's face.
*doing things against brook's wishes, eating things called the Baconator®.
since heidi and spencer have been spouting 9/11 was an inside job crap, i feel i need a post to clarify my post below. i'll be brief. 9/11 wasn't an inside job, but the government should've done a lot more to stop it. it wasn't a controlled demolition in new york, it wasn't a missile in the pentagon. there were planes and they were crashed into buildings. but how was it allowed to happen? why wasn't the public informed of a possible attack? what's the real story behind pakistan's involvement. those are the questions asked in the documentary.
that wasn't brief and i still look like a lunatic.

p.s. we went to 7 peaks water park yesterday for brook's b-day. i typically don't venture outside, let alone in swimming trunks, but it was fun and scary. i'm a total wuss and i refused to ride the scariest ones. i did ride the yellow one and ended up with my swimsuit inside my body at the end. it was hilarious. nariman scared a little boy who laughing at my short shorts. thanks, buddy.
p.p.s. i can't believe what little girls are allowed to wear. i can't really believe their mom's wear the same crap. if i have a little girl, she will wear smocks until she is 18.
p.p.p.s. if girls are allowed to show everything but the nips, why can't i wear short shorts in peace?
i know what you're going to say. 9/11 is old news, we're fucking sick of it, Loose Change was TOTAL FUCKING BULLSHIT, etc. and i'd agree. especially the bit about Loose Change. it was all over social networking sites and people were saying how it proved the government blew up the towers and a missile hit the pentagon blah blah blah. it was a pretty serious blow to the discussion of the official timeline of the events leading up to and including 9/11, afghanistan, iraq, etc. and until yesterday, i wouldn't have even challenged the accepted story myself.
however, there is a movie available to Watch Now on netflix called 9/11: Press for Truth. it is NOT the fringe theories mentioned above and it cites reputable sources for it's statements. in fact, a local TV station in Denver recently broadcast it. there are some Appeals to Emotion that bookend the documentary, but largely it relies on facts or intelligent questions. it left me with a HUGE fucking headache, but it was worth it.
