p.s. i went to green street for lorenz's birf last night. although i couldn't believe my eyeballs when i saw that i would have to wait in a line to get into a bar, all my worries were washed away when i was reunited with my good friend scotch once safely* indoors.
p.p.s. runt (my cat, based on the character in disco pigs) kept me up for most of the night. i think she has a cold because she kept sneezing in my face. i am tired.
*not so safe when one considers the threat of getting shivved by some cheffs for wearing shoes with kitties on them.
this whole ron paul craze?
since when is it cool for young kids to get so energized about a crusty old libertarian?
and can someone show me one of these kids who isn't white and privileged?

p.s. i mean i can see them getting suckered into his anti-war-on-drugs stance, but pro-life? anti-gun-control? good thing the youth vote cannot be relied upon on election day.
after a several week lull, i have resumed watching the war.
i just finished episode 4.
at the very end, seemingly inserted as an afterthought, was the story of joe medicine crow.
despite the fact that his enemy was the nazi war machine, he completed his peoples' requirements for warchief by completing the 4 necessary war deeds:
he touched a still-living enemy soldier. he took an enemy's weapon. he led a successful war party. and he took some of the enemy's horses.
then at the end he sang the praise song he had sung as he rode the horse he had taken from the germans.
